Parents’ Day was officially signed into law by President Bill Clinton
in 1994, and is celebrated every 4th Sunday of July. The special day
was established for “recognizing, uplifting and supporting the role of
parents in the rearing of children”, according to the Congressional
Resolution.
We’ve often heard that our children are our future, and it’s important to ensure they have positive role models in their lives to help develop, grow, and mature in healthy ways. Whether you are parent, father-figure, or mother-figure to an infant, child, teen, or young adult, we encourage you to continue to be an excellent example in their lives. Although at times it can be tough and involve hard work, the child/teen/young adult you’re a role model to can carry what they’ve learned from you their whole life, and pass it along to their children. It’s a cycle that benefits our generation, as well as future ones, too!
